MREC..and our Gang..

MREC, the very name evokes such an overwhelming string of memories that I involuntarily lose touch with the present and go back past several years,into those corridors.. the place, which was not just an Engg College where we got our deg n job but also a slice of the world where we won friends, got street smart and grew up, in the truest sense of the word! That memory-cache is so huge I just don't understand where to begin..though I do know where it all ended...in fact not so much as ended as just continued for ever..

And thats this amazing group of friends I got, this bunch of batchmates and juniors, who have stuck with each other so long...the group that we fondly call BBC, thats one of the best parting gifts MREC could have given me ever..(and the job of course..;)..)..!!

Won't say our group was one of its kind on campus coz thr were several others that dotted the canteens, yet kuch baat toh thi..that absolute abhorrence to formality of any kind, that abs bindaaspan, that subtle wisdom and emotional bondings and that wild and cheeky sense of humour!! Sometimes I realise that my group doesn't attend each others' special occasions as religiously as other groups..not to that grt an extent at least though we do try..our EGroup WeRBBC doesn't get that many mails these days and maybe we are all too busy with our personal lives to stay in touch constantly..

But then we don't need to, in a group where everyone wears their heart on their sleeve, where our relations have reached that level of maturity so we just know the others are there..like how I believe that if I truly need a friend to bail me out of a crisis or a sad moment, it will be this wild bunch of friends who'll rush, in whatever way they can...and my faith has never found a reason to die..touchwood!

Well, so thats my group BBC..full-form someone else will tell you perhaps and how it came to be while I want to take you back to the pre-genesis days.

We all met at different times during our stint at MREC...and am sure each of us, if we rack our minds just a litttle, we'll all remember how and when and where..we met each other for the 1st time, how we introduced ourselves as and how it grew from those Hi's n Byes to something so deep that it has lasted this long..
